Rostselmash and Agro-Soyuz – new vectors of cooperation

Rostselmash and Agro-Soyuz The cooperation with a longtime partner of Agro-Soyuz Holding – Russian leader of agricultural machine building Rostselmash – is developing in a new aspect of knowledge and experience exchange on No-till technology.

The top managers of Rostselmash took a decision to teach their sales representatives, directors of branch offices, senior executives and even machinery designers the principles of conservation agriculture. One would think why the agricultural giant from Russia needs this as its machinery is in demand on the whole territory of former Soviet Union. It turns out that besides “iron” it is necessary to understand the technology as well. This has to do with today’s challenges, increased demand of farmers for higher standards, the wish to understand the requests of potential buyers of machinery and increased competition in the market.

Rostselmash and Agro-Soyuz At this moment the cooperation consists of three training modules of the management team of RSM. Moreover, the technological workshops developed into something bigger: the economical module was introduced and factors influencing decision making were touched upon.

The specialists of Agro-Soyuz Natalia Skorobogataya and Anatoly Gontar were amazed that the top management of Rostselmash headed by the CEO Valeriy Maltsev were all ready to “return back” to school desks. They were not just listening; they were making notes, asking questions, visiting fields, where the owners of RSM machinery articulated their recommendations. During one of the field visits on Vityaz-M Holding’s farm the owners of which offered their fields for training and practical classes, the Sales Director of RSM Alexey Shevtsov said: ‘We are ready to improve our machinery in accordance with the requirements of farmers.’ It is also noteworthy that farmers are ready to help the industry. At the same time the owner of the enterprise expressed readiness for cooperation and offered his fields as a testing area for new RSM’s machinery that is under development now.

These educational modules will be repeated on a regular basis. This cooperation is not just pleasant for Agro-Soyuz’s specialists; it is rather a confirmation of good job performed by our technologists. It also confirms that No-till becomes more popular not only among agricultural producers, but also among manufacturers of agricultural machinery.
